1st Swedish Looping Tour (2003)

The looping tour is over now and life is not back to normal. Many new projects have been born, thanks to the tour, and some will hopefully go public in a near future.

When I started planning this tour back in august 2002 my first idea was to book some gigs for myself just to spread the idea of improvising Live Electronica. Then Rick Walker sent me a mail from California to ask if he could come to Sweden and play. I said Hey why don't you join in! and we were suddenly two. I posted a call for more musicians at the mailing list loopers delight. Matthias Grob answered back that he would like to tour with Rick and me in Sweden. This trio seemed perfect for my idea of teaming up with as many Swedish guest musicans as possible, so I started the hunt for sponsorship. This was no easy task since I had no experience in producing an indie tour. Ok, I had been touring before, but that was either as a hired muscian or signed to major labels as part of an act. As you might guess it turned out I had to pay for my lack of experience with my own hard and unpaid work. We lost a lot of money, had a lot of fun, learned a lot and eventually made some great music  ;-D  But thinking of the contacts we made and the massive media coverage we got, I would says this tour was a great success!
